Amstrad PCW

Computers in Collection

General Info

When reassembling the system, watch for pinched cables! I recall that the logic board didn’t re-seat firmly one time. During another disassembly, I noticed two shielded cables in a bundle, connecting the high-voltage board to the logic board, had gotten squeezed by the logic board at the base of the slot it slides into. One of the cables in the bundle is a bit crushed and some copper (shield?) is visible. Not good.
